The Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society, established in 2003, is one of the youngest Blues Societies in the World. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and are affiliated with the International Organization "The Blues Foundation" in Memphis, Tennessee.
Our mission is to preserve and
promote the Blues music art form.
We will accomplish this with many
ongoing Society Events.
We support the local Santa Clarita Valley and Los Angeles Blues
scene thru this website, Member Band links & gig notices, our "Blues Friends" email list, Society member email list, Monthly "Blues News" newsletter, Online Calendar, Monthly Blues Jams and other Events, Fundraisers and Concerts.
Also, we are in the midst of implementing our new "Blues In The
Schools" Program and are looking for volunteers to help us teach our youngsters about the History of Blues Music.

in Sherman Oaks, CA.

2009 Best Self Produced CD
Competition
JOHN PARKER
"JOHN PARKER - SELF TITLED"
"Self Titled" has been receiving good airplay on 135 Radio stations around the World and hit the "Roots Blues Top 50" Charts during the first 8 days and 2 of John's songs are in the "Broadjam Music Top 10" Charts. Also CBS-TV has just licensed "I've Got The Blues Baby" from the CD to appear on an upcoming episode of it's Top 5 TV Series "N.C.I.S".
We've sent the CD to Memphis and entered it into the 2009 Blues Foundation's "World's Best Self Produced CD" Competition where it will judged by Radio Stations, Record Producers, Press and Record Labels.
The Winner will be announced during the 2009 "International Blues Challenge" Finals on Saturday, Feb. 7th, 2009.
